The historic Kaisersaal (“Emperor’s Hall”) at the Munich Residenz palace offered the perfect environment for awarding the 2008 VDE Honorary Ring and the appointment of the new honorary VDE members. Using two narrow plasma columns,
installed an innovative juxtaposition to the palace’s classical architecture. The columns functioned wonderfully as dramatic eye catchers, as well as being highly innovative design objects. Animations and branding approaches were used to display teasers that caught attention even from far distances. The extremely unique height of the columns made them stand out prominently and completely impressed the electrical engineers in attendance.
proved once again that it makes sense to take the road less travelled and to go beyond simply fulfilling an audience’s expectations.
