“Two thirds emotion, one third rationality” was the maxim
applied to its artistic and technical concept for a product presentation for 1,200 national and international motorcycle dealers. The central focus, of course, was the flagship of all high-end BMW motorcycles: the K 1200 RS.
The program was designed as an infotainment show mixing visual information, interviews, entertainment and fine dining. Hall 2.2 in the Cologne Exhibition Centre was redesigned for the future, using a 1200 square meter projection screen and highly futuristic design elements. Infotainment blocks and celebrity appearances were entwined with a completely original choreography that included twelve roller-skating dancers from the world-famous Starlight Express musical. The dancers and motorcycles entered through the audience via two ramps and two rotating platforms. The performance was accompanied musically by a 12-person orchestra on a third platform.
