The congress of the German Society for Radiooncology was held for the first time in the newly constructed convention and conference centre in Magdeburg – and concurrently in the Millenium Tower located one kilometre away. To handle this situation, 
made available two networked media checks for prechecking all presentations and ePosters. Networking within the Millenium Tower was achieved via WLAN.
Congress President Prof. Dr. Günther Gademann strove to achieve a bifurcated approach to the program as a metaphor for the two hemispheres of the famous Magdeburg Experiment. Poster presentations were thus to receive the same level of attention as the scientific papers in the halls. Around 460 ePosters were coordinated before the event by and were available for review on 18 terminals. Both the ePosters and paper presentations were accessible from the presentation rooms. The highest level of flexibility was required for this feat, as the ePosters to be presented were first determined by the chairman in a special session. 
Based on the directions of Prof. Gademann, developed a special balloting system for awarding the poster prizes. The results of the vote were able to be viewed simultaneously in two different halls on large format screens for all the visitors. As part of a supplementary program, the Magdeburg Experiment at the Petriförder riverbank was also broadcasted live.
